LMS CREED

I will always try to help othersI
I will fight
LMS
with all my might
I will never accept defeat
And most of all I will never quit
I will always help a fellow patient
I am a survivor of
LMS
!!!

adapted from the soldiers and sailors creed by one of our members, JoAnn

This is a term paper my granddaughter wrote for one of her college courses.  I am very proud of her for chosing LMS as her topic.  I thought you might enjoy reading it!

KEEP TRAVELING ON.....

Oh how to stay well and be strong
and know the right from the wrong
Put up the good ole fight!
and muster up all my might
Oh what I would really give
Just to know that I could live
Is it too much to ask for?
or is already a closed door?
I pray whatever happens to me
will be the best for little ole me
then all can continue on and on

GIFT OF LOVE AND PEACE

In each special day there is a gift
If only we are to look for its prescence
Many are not as fortunate and miss the chance
not celebrating the day or opportunity to dance
Sharing brought new options
For our concerns are made to feel small
When we can share them with all
Our deepest thoughts are most often hidden well
And can certainly cast that sad and lonely spell
Darkness keeps out the bleakest of light
But something does shine bright
Shining from way up above
Bringing God's perpetual love
In the darkest of days
There are so many ways
To move above and beyond
Letting the pains slip on by
And gazing up at the sky
Marveling at God's creation
Brings so much for recreation
Just relaxing in a swing
Feeling the breezes go by
Watching the butterflies go flower to flower
Can help pass the darknest of hours.
Hearing the birds chirp and sing
Keeps you focused on nature's best
Sometimes in life there is a definite fall
Seemingly a blow to us, certainly without call
How are we to answer and to be heard?
By listening to God's word
We are guided and given the power
To live on through each hour
Until we are at peace and can finally rest.
